CAILLIN GIBSON

- Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy)

My love for sport and the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others was the reason I decided to study physiotherapy. Being an avid runner and triathlete, I’m fascinated by understanding how the human body works. My passion for endurance sports has flowed over into my physiotherapy career. I have a special interest in working with people from these sports and helping them to achieve their desired goals.

I graduated from Curtin University in 2015 with a degree in Physiotherapy and was awarded the Emeritus Professor Joan Cole Award for the most outstanding physiotherapy student in my graduating year.  Since then I have worked exclusively in private practice and have a broad base of experience that extends from worker’s compensation claims through to sport injuries, and have completed extra study in running and tendon injuries, shoulder pain and strength and conditioning.

Outside of work I spend time field umpiring for the West Australian Football League, listening to music, spending time at the beach and the playing the infrequent round of golf.  I am also a keen triathlete and have completed several Ironman 70.3 races and hope to step up to the Ironman distance.
