With over 20 years of experience in the sport science field, I have worked in various roles from community gyms to elite sport, lecturing and coaching.

My journey into sport science started well before I even realised it. I’ve always loved both science and sport and as a youngster I kept meticulous records of my workouts and races to analyse for trends and improvements. In hindsight being able to combine both into a career was a natural progression.

I started my career in Sport Science in a clinical role providing a range of services such as occupational fitness testing, respiratory and cardiovascular testing and assessing readiness to train of the Australia Rowing team. From there I progressed into University lecturing, spending a short time in New Zealand before returning to WA.

I currently lecture at The University of Notre Dame in Exercise Physiology, where my key teaching areas are centred around the physiology of performance, assessment, program design and prescription.

Outside of work I am kept busy with my 3 children and enjoy riding, running and swimming, but try not to do them all in the same race!
